Director-producer-actor Sasikumar starred Bramman is the directorial debut of Kamal Haasan's assistant, Socrates. Tollywood actress Lavanya Tripathi debuts to Kollywood with Tamil rom-com Bramman as Sasikumar's love in the movie. Set in Coimbatore, the movie is directed by Socrates, a former assistant of Kamal Haasan. It has everything one would associate in a Sasikumar film. Lavanya Tripatjhi plays the female lead, while the cast also incldes Soori, Santhanam, Malavika, Vanitha among others. Jomon T John cranks the camera while music is by Devi Sri Prasad.
Sasikumar has done few first of things in the film. He teamed up with Santhanam. DSP scores music for the first time for his film and what more he has ventured to shoot in alien lands for songs.

Story:
It is the story that revolves around Shiva (Sasikumar). As we all know Brahma ios the God of Creation while Shiva is the one who destroys. What when a man combines both forms the crux. The movie begins in Coimbatore. Shiva is an upright youth. There is romance, fun under the roof in his life. But things take a turn after a slew of incidents. Shiva has a purpose to live and a mission to accomplish. How he goes about forms the crux.
Casting:
Model turned former Miss Uttarakhand Lavanya Tripathi was roped in as the female lead. She said "Santhanam is also part of the cast; so it won’t be a serious film like the previous Sasikumar starrers". Soori was also part of the cast, who was earlier wrongly reported to have replaced Santhanam in the film.
It was reported that Yuvan Shankar Raja would compose the music, but Devi Sri Prasad was signed as the music director. Naveen Chandra stated that he played the second lead as the friend of Sasikumar in the film.
Performance:
It is a wholesome Sasikumar film. He has given his trademark performance and suits the character of Shiva well. It is engrossing. Lavanya Tripathy is a cute and a bubbly girl. Soori scores over Santhanam, while the rest of the cast are adequate.
Analysis:
Socrates has managed to make it an interesting show thanks to his shrewd screenplay. What begins a fun-ride ends up a action drama. With Sasi at the helm of affairs, the film has mass elements to keep one engaged. produced by Manju, Bramman is an engrossing fare.
